Twitch Item Flood - 1.3.1 Changelog
Twitch Item Flood » Devlog
Slowing down on the builds a bit now (hopefully). We have a few bug fixes in this update, and some quality of life stuff that should make things nicer. As per usual, if you find any additional bugs or have any questions, feel free to comment or reach out to me on Twitter!
Changes
- Items can now be safely deleted from your Item Profiles.
- Previously if you deleted an item that wasn't the latest item added, new items would start to replace your latest items instead of existing as their own people.
- The program will now check its version against the version on Itch.io, and let you know if there's a more recent version.
- There's now a reconnect button on the authorization tab, which should make restarting the PubSub and Chat Client easy to do during stream if they decide to stop working.
- Your channel ID is now obfuscated once you've been authorized so you don't reveal it to the world on stream if you need to reconnect or edit something in the menu.
- If you click into the textbox it will appear again. And if you enter something incorrectly and the program is unable to authenticate the ID will stay visible so you can easily edit it.
- The program also tries to refresh your auth token so you shouldn't have to open up the webpage as often (or at all) to authorize when you open the program.
- Sprite preview now hides when you close the menu while on the image import tab.
Known Bugs / Nitpicks
- If you have a lot of items loaded, the menu will lag when you open/close it.
- Similar to above, if you swap profiles to a profile with a lot of items it will lag while the items are loaded.
- Some of the SFX have awkward volume that doesn't match the rest of the SFX. Will look into standardizing the volumes soon.
Updating
- Extract the zip file.
- Overwrite all previous files except the "ItemData" directory (your items) and Settings.json (your settings).
1.2 and above will break ItemData from 1.1.1 and lower!
To keep your custom ItemData, please follow these steps before you move your ItemData folder:
- Open your ItemData.json in a text program, such as Notepad ++
- For each item, there will be a section that says "path":"___/number.png". Copy the file path the comes before the number.png.
- For example: "C:\\Documents\Twitch Item Flood\ItemData\0.png", copy the "C:\\Documents\Twitch Item Flood\ItemData\" portion.
- Use the text program's find/replace option. Put the file path you copied above in the "Find" section, then leave the "Replace" section blank.
- Set it to Replace All.
- Double check that each item's path now is just the number.png, such as: "path":"0.png"
- You can now safely transfer over your ItemData folder with profiles, and run the program again.
Special Thanks
- That one random question poster on the Twitch dev forums whose answer solved my refresh token problem.
